The Circle

The Circle is about the memory of the herd — something that belongs not to one figure, but to all of them together.

Six bulls surround the centre of the painting. Each one is separate, with its own character and direction, yet together they create one complete form. A circle. There is something almost spiritual in the way they gather, as if they are connected by a memory older than any one of them.

The painting also changes as you move around it. Hidden figures appear from certain angles and disappear again from others. In different light, the surface can look completely different.

For me, this is how memory often feels. Something can disappear from sight without truly being gone. It stays underneath, waiting to be seen again.

The moon remains quietly at the centre, while the herd holds the circle around it.
