We Were Here Before

We Were Here Before is a reflection on memory, return, and the quiet strength we carry from those who came before us.

A herd of blue bulls moves across the canvas — some facing forward, others turning, watching, or disappearing beyond the edges. They seem to exist somewhere between movement and stillness, between the present and something much older.

Above them, a thin crescent moon becomes a silent witness.

The work speaks about our instinctive need to return: to our roots, to memory, to what remains within us even when we have forgotten how to name it. It is also about trust — in ourselves, in one another, and in the strength that has carried humanity through generations.

We may feel as though we are entering unknown territory, but perhaps we have been here before.
